Wi-Fi Operator, Gowex Buys Mobile Ad Agency

Wi-Fi network operator, Gowex says that it has acquired the mobile advertising agency, Ideup for an undisclosed amount.

Gowex said that its main objective with this acquisition is to "exploit the products and services of the company's digital marketing and mobile services in all global projects within the wider strategy to achieve 300 Wi-Fi intelligent cities".

With this acquisition, which will become an integral part of the Gowex Mobile subsidiary, Gowex will be able to offer ad-funded Wi-Fi access in its markets.

Ideup was created in 2003, and in 2012 billed EUR 2.2 million with a net profit of EUR 250,000.
